This role will be HYBRID in our New York, NY office.

 

Foot Locker is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support the Foot Locker Data & Analytics team’s efforts in building foundational data products, providing advanced decision support and analysis to the entire retail operation, and aiding in the development of AI-powered tools & resources.  This role will have exposure up and down the development cycle, from conceptualization to release and will work closely with developers, product owners, and leadership at every level. 

Responsibilities Become a key figure of the Retail Intelligence team by being a driver to insights and decision support.  Partner with technical and business leaders in the concept, refinement, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise data productsBe a trusted advisor in the room.  Able to connect the dots on complex data problems in easy to digest ways.  Be a catalyst to collaboration, a facilitator, and a true owner of the work being doneMentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Ability to lead a group of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and BI EngineersCollaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needsCommunicate findings and strategic recommendations through reports and presentations at leadership levelsConceptualize, build and operationalize data products per business needs and requirement.Research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to deployed analytical solutionsMaintain knowledge of the latest data technology and best practicesMaintain knowledge on the latest retail trends in industryPerform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, a stronger preference given to experience in the retail sectorAdvanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and Power BI; Python and Scala are a plusStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insightsExperience with AI tools/methodologies, such as prompt engineering, generative AI, NLP, and AI model training a big plus.Ability to perform statistical analysis of A/B/N testsMust be able to think both creatively and criticallyExcellent verbal & written communication with both technical and business teamsExcellent stakeholder management skillsMust be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environmentLearner mindsetStrong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple prioritiesKnowledge of retail concepts, and ability to understand and work with retail data

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $70000 - $100000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
