Our client, a leader in the cybersecurity industry, is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer, you will be part of the cybersecurity department supporting critical governance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong program management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of cyber risk management principles, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Sr. Cyber Security Engineer
**Location:** Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ (Contract w2 Hybrid role)
**Pay Range:** Competitive
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead governance activities and workflows on the newly established DLP Governance Routines, including Issue Management and Operational governance.
+ Oversee, aggregate, and report risks from various inputs such as Policy Violations and Stakeholder concerns.
+ Enhance the cybersecurity risk posture and reduce data loss through effective program management.
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on policies and exceptions management.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, GLBA, and CCPA.
**What's Needed?**
+ Proven experience in cyber risk management or Cyber IT Audit.
+ Deep understanding of security controls frameworks, particularly NIST.
+ Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Experience in operationalizing DLP programs to enhance cyber defense tools and techniques.
