Position Overview: 

Position will set up and perform manual, automated, and environmental performance testing on the full line of Westrock packaged product lines based on applicable packaging test standards while following strict timelinesPerformance of these tests must be precise, with the monitoring of test controls, effective documentation, and communication of the results both verbally and with formal test reportsIndividuals will collect dimensional measurements on mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and documents appropriatelyOther responsibilities include the ability to oversee and maintain the condition, maintenance, and orderliness of the Testing Department and its equipment. 
 


Responsibilities 
 

Position will set up and perform manual, automated, and environmental performance testing on WRK equipment based on applicable packaging test standards while following strict timelinesPerformance of these tests must be precise, with the monitoring of test controls, effective documentation, and communication of the results both verbally and with formal test reportsIndividuals will collect dimensional measurements on mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and document appropriatelyOther responsibilities include the ability to oversee and maintain the condition, maintenance, orderliness, and calibration of the Testing DepartmentGenerate detailed, accurate reports that will be used to make key business decisions on a range of Westrock packaged product linesSelf-starter in completing daily testing and reporting and ability to multi-task 
 
   

What You Need to Succeed 
 

2 + years of experience in mechanical assembly operations Able to read Blueprints and technical drawingsStrong mechanical skillsFamiliarity with health and safety regulations Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervisionWilling to learn modern technologies, equipment, and procedures through on-the-job trainingSupport design, construction and calibration of new and existing test fixtures and equipmentModerate PC skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft appsTechnical degree is a plus, but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentCan work Additional overtime and 10-to-12-hour shifts if required
