**What you will be doing**
You will be joining the Direct Financial Services – Simplii Line of Business. The Senior Consultant, PAT Testing, will spearhead Performance Testing for the DFS Simplii QA portfolio, which encompasses several distributed systems like web based, mainframe, database and jobs related applications. At the forefront of the PAT Testing Team, the role will envision the PAT strategy, planning and execution for the group. The ideal candidate is a well-seasoned SME in the PAT Testing domain and will require expert knowledge of PAT Testing concepts, design, tools and most importantly, the ability to pinpoint/ troubleshoot complex load testing issues, especially at the development layer, while liaising with different teams (QA/ Developers/ DBA/ App Support/Operations) and all levels of leadership. Expert knowledge with Application Performance Monitoring tools having the ability to isolate root cause or at least guide resources in where to look; Ability to drive troubleshooting conversations but at a much deeper rooted, development layer. The willingness to innovate and enhance current practices will also be a significant contributing factor to the effectiveness of the position. Look for better ways to simulate or emulate integration with downstream applications in the absence of end to end PAT environments. Another key area of focus will be to build and foster strong relationships within the team and all stakeholders. As a team lead to the PAT Testing team, the Senior Consultant will work on estimates, plan out work assignments, train and assist the team in their day to day operations, while adhering to established controls and standards within the enterprise.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Testing expertise –** Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
+ **Leadership skills –** Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
+ **Project coordination –** Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals.
+ **PAT Testing and Engineering -** Lead the PAT Team in not only the maintenance of existing performance testing packages but also the evaluation, design and implementation of new PAT Testing tools, packages, process and techniques; Planning and forecasting of team capacity; Single point of contact for all initiatives and provide senior level technical consulting to technology teams and senior management. Ability to drive troubleshooting conversations across the supporting teams.
**Who you are**
+ **You are experienced** in PAT Testing of 8+ years of hands-on experience and have a proven track record of process improvement. You have in-depth knowledge of PAT design principles, load testing a variety of protocols (not limited to web), using industry standard load testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Neoload), proficiency in programming languages like Java/ Javascript/ C/ SQL and user experience testing. You also are well versed in API Testing, Service Virtualization (Parasoft Virtualize), application monitoring tools (Dynatrace/ Splunk) and CI/CD. It is an asset if you have prior software development experience.
