Sr. Community Growth Marketing Manager
Job Description We are seeking a Senior Community Growth Marketing Manager to own the strategy, brand voice, and scaled growth of company research community. This leader will craft the marketing and communications foundation, define KPIs, implement compliant operating mechanisms, and partner cross functionally (Research, Legal, Brand, Product, and Ops) to deliver participant pipelines that meet trial needs—without compromising brand standards or platform rules. • Focus: ~80% Marketing/Brand & Communications, 20% Growth/Community Strategy • Scope: Strategy + execution + governance for a multi channel research community • Impact: Build a trusted, on brand, compliant community that consistently supplies high quality participants for research trials Key Responsibilities Marketing, Brand & Communications (Primary – 80%) • Own the brand voice and messaging architecture for the research community; create copy that is on brand, accessible, and compliant across email, landing pages, in product surfaces, social/community platforms, and partner channels. • Build the campaign strategy and editorial calendar to recruit, activate, and retain participants aligned to trial timelines and segmentation needs. • Establish content governance & review workflows with Legal/Brand/Privacy to prevent violations that could trigger content removal or platform/account risk. • Develop creative briefs and manage production (internal or agency) for assets that support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing engagement. • Instrument comms with measurement (UTMs, testing plans, audience cohorts) to continuously improve conversion and retention while protecting user trust. Community Growth & Program Leadership (Secondary – 20%) • Design the growth strategy (top funnel to re engagement) for a compliant external community; define segments, value propositions, and lifecycle journeys. • Set success metrics and dashboards (e.g., qualified opt ins, time to fill, show rates, churn, quality/compliance flags) and operate weekly business reviews. • Partner with Recruitment & Trial Ops to forecast demand, size pipelines, and close gaps without resorting to risky or brand inconsistent tactics. • Own risk mitigation: document platform rules, run pre flight checks, and implement monitoring/alerting to avoid takedowns or account restrictions. • Contribute to the 3–6 month approval process for the external community by providing compliant content plans, channel risk assessments, and mitigation steps. Cross Functional Collaboration & Leadership • Lead cross functional working sessions (Research, Legal, Brand, Product, Ops) to align campaigns with study timelines and product roadmaps. • Mentor and upskill team members and vendors in brand voice, messaging standards, experimentation, and compliant growth practices. • Evaluate and manage external partners/agencies; set SOWs, SLAs, and deliverable quality standards; hold partners accountable to brand and compliance. Skills and Requirements • 7–10+ years in marketing, brand management, lifecycle/community marketing, or related roles with demonstrated ownership of strategy and execution. • Expert copywriting and editing skills with a portfolio showing consistent brand voice across multiple channels and formats. • Proven experience building or scaling a compliant community (research panel, beta program, consumer community, or similar). • Strong command of marketing operations and measurement (campaign planning, testing frameworks, KPI design, dashboards, and insights to action). • Demonstrated ability to navigate legal/brand/compliance workflows and maintain platform safety standards. • Experience leading cross functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders in fast paced environments.
