Job Summary
The Clinical Informatics Senior position provides expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems across multiple domains. This role collaborates with clinical and IT teams to enhance patient care, improve workflow efficiency, and support clinical decision-making through the use of technology. The Clinical Informaticist Senior position may focus on specialized areas such as nursing informatics, medication management applications, or other clinical functions, adapting best practices to meet the needs of various departments.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field preferred 5-8 years of experience in clinical informatics or a related field for specified position required 1-3 years of experience in a senior or lead role
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced understanding of clinical workflow design, optimization, and process improvement.Strong skills in test planning, validation, and troubleshooting of clinical system functionality.Excellent communication and facilitation abilities to lead cross‑functional discussions.Ability to interpret data and present insights for decision‑making.Effective project coordination with the ability to lead portions of complex initiatives.Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results independently.Professionalism and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings.Licenses and Certifications (Preferred)
Certification in Clinical Informatics (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification, CAHIMS/CPHIMS) Oracle Health CernerClinical license or bachelor’s degree in a health or informatics field
