As part of DHL Group, you will be working with a global network of Procurement colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities. **Job Purpose:** Implement best local / sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure, identify and recommend best in class suppliers and maintain good relationship. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level. **Your Tasks:** + Lead the strategy for the Transportation Americas category. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of relevant carrier modes (Ground, Air, Ocean). + Specializes in strategic sourcing of transportation capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope. + Manage regional sourcing initiatives (from demand analysis to contract implementation) incl. preparation and leading of carrier negotiations via Jaggaer’s ASO platform. + Support of Global sourcing initiatives and projects (from demand analysis to contract implementation). + Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local: - markets / category trends - suppliers / key local players + Ensure country/ sub-region requirements and issues are addressed in corporate / regional strategies + Prepare, conduct and lead tenders (incl. e-sourcing) + Ensure policy adherence of local divisional colleague + Supplier management: - database maintenance - supplier classification - new sources identification (Salesforce / Evolution) + Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools: - suppliers, rates, spend, projects, master data + Contribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcing **Your Profile:** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification + At least 8 years of experience **We offer:** + Great opportunity to work for the biggest logistics company in the world + International and virtual environment + Flexibility and great opportunity to learn + Tempting Compensation and benefits DHL Group is an equal opportunity employer.
