A Sr. Agile Coach is a strategic leader responsible for driving Agile maturity across a product portfolio organization. This role partners with product, technology and business leaders to enable scaled Agile practices, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and ensures alignment between strategy, discovery and delivery. The Sr. Agile coach will guide teams and leaders through quarterly planning, capacity management, dependency resolution, DevOps adoption and AI-enabled practices to deliver high-value outcomes.
Responsibilities
Agile Coaching & Enablement
Mentor and coach leaders, product managers and product teams on Agile principles, mindset, frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and best practices. Define clear outcomes based on Agile maturity and continuous improvement roadmap for assigned teams. Facilitate organizational change management and communication to support Agile transformation and continuous improvement. Create and conduct training sessions to educate teams on implementation and practice of Agile values, principles, and practices. Leverage Jira AI capabilities to monitor and improve backlog health. Coach teams on interpreting AI-driven recommendations and integrating them into backlog refinement and planning practices. Utilize AI analytics to surface patterns from team data (e.g. retrospective notes, communication logs, meeting transcripts) to inform coaching strategies.Quarterly Product Planning
Lead and facilitate Quarterly Planning events to align product vision, objectives and priorities across multiple teams and portfolios. Ensure transparency of commitments, risks and dependencies during planning cycles. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to establish capacity models for predictable delivery. Support teams in balancing demand vs. capacity and optimizing balanced delivery commitments. Leverage AI-driven forecasting for capacity planning and dependency prediction across teams. Implement and maintain processes for identifying, tracking and resolving cross-team dependencies. Facilitate collaboration across teams and portfolios to mitigate delivery risk, in partnership with Program Management on larger initiatives.DevOps, Continuous Delivery & AI Enablement
Promote DevOps culture and practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and release management. Partner with engineering teams to improve delivery pipelines and reduce lead time, in partnership with Platform Developer Experience team. Guide software development teams in applying Agile practices to modern engineering workflows, including microservices, cloud-native development, and API-first design. Educate teams on AI capabilities to enable software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)Metrics & Reporting
Enable and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Agile maturity, predictability and value delivery. Incorporate AI-driven metrics for backlog health, cycle time reduction and planning accuracy. Provide actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.Emerging AI Capabilities & Trends
Educate teams on AI capabilities, limitations and ethical considerations. Coach on prompt engineering and data fluency for effective collaboration with AI tools. Stay abreast of industry trends and new Agile tools and techniques to continually bring fresh perspectives into the organization, including the application of AI. Promote Agile experimentation with emerging technologies, including AI/ML, to drive innovation and business value. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile coaching, with proven success in enterprise-scale transformations, DevOps Practices and product operating model. Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS), DevOps and Lean principles. Experienced in facilitating large-scale planning and managing complex dependencies. Experienced user and/or administration of Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence). Familiarity with AI tools in SDLC (e.g. JiraAI, AI-assisted testing, forecasting) Strong understand of DevOps practices and modern software delivery pipelines. Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Certified Practitioner).At Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do. BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $97,000- $135,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
