Sr. Accountant
Description The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the daily and monthly accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, hands-on experience with full‑cycle accounting, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across departments to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Full Cycle Accounting + Manage all aspects of full‑cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month‑end close, and general ledger maintenance. + Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Revenue Recognition + Apply proper revenue recognition principles in accordance with GAAP. + Review contracts and revenue streams to ensure accurate classification and timing of revenue. + Maintain documentation and supporting schedules related to revenue processes. Cost Accounting & Accruals + Prepare and maintain cost accruals, including labor, materials, overhead, and other period expenses. + Support cost accounting activities and analysis to ensure accurate expense reporting. + Assist with process improvements to streamline accrual and cost allocation workflows. Payroll Accounting + Oversee payroll accounting, including payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and variance review. + Ensure payroll expenses are accurately recorded, allocated, and compliant with internal controls. NetSuite Accounting Operations + Perform daily and monthly accounting tasks within NetSuite, including reporting, GL maintenance, and workflow management. + Assist with NetSuite optimization, reporting tools, and system improvements. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. + NetSuite proficiency required. + Strong knowledge and experience with revenue recognition, cost accruals, and full‑cycle accounting. + Payroll accounting experience strongly preferred. + High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. + Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. + Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
