Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial goals. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting practices. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including collections and reconciliations. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data. • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. • Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related queries and provide support. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, particularly in month-end close and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. • Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections processes. • Experience in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
