Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Melville, New York. In this role, you will manage financial reporting and accounting functions for high-net-worth clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses strong attention to detail, has expertise in QuickBooks, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities: • Manage and execute all accounting tasks to accurately report the financial position of select high-net-worth clients. • Oversee the bill payment process, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. • Handle accounts payable operations, including vendor management, invoice review, and preparing wire transfers for approval. • Develop and maintain cash flow plans, including budgeting and forecasting, tailored to clients' financial needs. • Prepare and meticulously review financial reports and analyses to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and complete special projects as required. • Administer household payroll for clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy. • Train and supervise entry-level staff to uphold high standards in maintaining financial records. • Foster strong working relationships with internal service teams to streamline operations and communication. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance; a Master's degree is highly preferred. • An accounting designation that demonstrates attention to detail is advantageous. • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the financial industry or family office environments. • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in all tasks. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with clients and team members. • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a resourceful and decisive approach. • A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to take initiative and go above and beyond.
