Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team in Oxnard, California. In this role, you will oversee key financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits while demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Reconcile various accounts to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in audit preparations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data using Excel and organizational systems to create comprehensive reports.
• Monitor daily cash balances to maintain optimal liquidity and financial stability.
• Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and financial reports to support decision-making.
• Process wire transfers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions with precision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation and records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external banking partners to optimize cash management processes.
• Provide backup support to the Finance Manager and assist with additional duties as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel, for financial analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring financial tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships across departments and with external partners.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
