Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Denver, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting processes and a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close procedures, including general ledger entries, journal postings, and consolidation activities. • Act as a liaison between accounting and other departments to facilitate complex reporting tasks such as intercompany allocations and automation. • Drive process improvement initiatives related to receivables, payables, intercompany invoicing, reconciliation, and documentation efficiency. • Execute internal controls and provide support during internal and external audits. • Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor or Manager to assist with team tasks and train entry level staff members. • Analyze and research specific accounting areas monthly to calculate reserves and identify trends, variances, and fluctuations. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain effective controls over general accounting and reporting. • Work cross-functionally with IT, FP& A, and other teams to coordinate financial activities and optimize processes. • Prepare and review key financial reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational requirements. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 3 plus years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated expertise in month-end close and consolidation. • Advanced proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations. • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks. • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Excel and other Office applications; experience with accounting systems is a plus. • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate financial insights. • Proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiency in accounting operations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
