Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aSr. Accountantto join theData Center Power and Control Division Teamin Zwickau, Germany.The Sr. Accountant will in the completion of month end financial reporting, assure accuracy and completeness, as well as to analyze and interpret financial statements. What Will You Do? + Reconciliation and analysis of Balance Sheet Accounts including account recs. + Booking of Ledger Entries and Transactions. + Recording Cash Transactions and transmitting Wires. + Assisting in audit preparation. + Ad hoc reports and requests (Taxes, FP&A) Special Projects (COA, Standard Costs, new ERP). + Performs other similar and related duties as required. + Payroll process; payroll tax return, social security reports. Qualifications Required Skills Education: + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Certified Management Accountant (in German: “Bilanzbuchhalter” or “Bilanzbuchhalter international”). Experience: + Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in SAP; US-GAAP accounting. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: + Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors. + Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. + Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software. Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (SAP, Payroll Systems ex. Lexware, MS Excel). + Must be able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation and to give and receive detailed/complex and sensitive information, and process that information appropriately. Demonstrated ability to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence. + Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
