Sr. Account Executive - Neurology & Rare - California


Join our team as a Neurology & Rare Therapies Sales Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in expanding access to complex therapies for patients living with neurologic and rare conditions. In this field‑based role, you’ll partner closely with providers, infusion centers, and health systems to deliver specialty pharmacy solutions that reduce administrative burden, improve care coordination, and support meaningful clinical outcomes. With a focus on building trusted relationships and delivering consultative value, you will help strengthen Accredo’s impact across a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape.

Responsibilities

Achieve assigned territory sales goals by driving prescription growth and service adoption across Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis, Immune Globulin, and Rare Disease therapies.Build and maintain strong relationships with neurologists, advanced practice providers, office staff, infusion centers, and health systems to support seamless patient care.Educate providers on Accredo’s specialty pharmacy programs, including access solutions, patient support services, prior authorization assistance, and therapy‑specific workflows.Develop strategic account plans using prescribing trends, payer dynamics, and market insights to identify opportunities and manage territory growth.Partner with internal teams — including Physician Support Specialists, pharmacists, reimbursement specialists, and payer account leaders — to ensure timely onboarding, therapy initiation, and patient support.Collaborate with manufacturer representatives on shared goals, pull‑through opportunities, and aligned provider education.Maintain accurate CRM documentation, call reporting, and all required administrative activities in Salesforce.Represent Accredo at regional and national meetings, conferences, and industry events.Travel within the territory 40–60% of the week to engage customers and execute territory strategy.

Required Qualifications

Residence in Southern California (Los Angeles or Orange County preferred).Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in healthcare or specialty markets.Experience calling on physicians or advanced practice providers within a specialty therapy environment.Strong understanding of managed care, specialty pharmacy operations, and reimbursement processes.Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and translate findings into actionable territory strategies.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field (preferred, not required).Experience in Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis, Immune Globulin, or Rare Disease markets.Experience working with PBM and/or specialty pharmacy providers. 

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
