Under supervision you conduct experiments, complete assigned projects or offer functional services. Using your fundamental understanding of data collection, you will assess for compliance and take corrective measures when necessary. You may also assist in interpreting data and writing technical reports. You are regarded as a technological resource in your technical area.
How you will contribute
You will prepare samples and materials for descriptive, discrimination, consumer groups, and product testing and manage those samples and generate accurate data. In addition, you will ensure the efficient and safe running of the consumer science laboratory, including maintenance of the quality system and compliance to food safety and health and safety operating procedures and help prepare test designs, online questionnaires and performance graphs for descriptive analysis. You will help with the screening and recruitment of panelists for discrimination and descriptive panels and may assist in running routine language review sessions and prepare data collection files for descriptive analysis.

As a Senior Technologist in our Consumer Science team, you will play a key role in supporting sensory and consumer research that shapes the future of our products. You will ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory, manage projects, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality sensory data that drives business decisions. This role requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to foster a productive environment for both colleagues and panelists.
What you need to know about this position:
Prepare, manage, and maintain samples for sensory and consumer testing (e.g., discrimination, descriptive, and consumer groups).
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the consumer science laboratory, including lab organization, compliance with quality systems, food safety, and health & safety procedures
Assist in designing test protocols, preparing online questionnaires, and generating performance reports for descriptive analysisRecruit and screen panelists, manage panel performance, and enforce lab rules to ensure reliable data collectionSupport and occasionally lead roundtable discussions and routine panel language review sessionsManage laboratory scheduling, supplies, and logistics to support ongoing projects.Learn and apply sensory testing methodologies (e.g., QDA, QMA, discrimination tests) and gain skills to independently run simple projectsProgram tests in Compusense (training will be provided)What extra ingredients you will bring:

7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon-Fri)The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to 82,400; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
