Job Description
Ensure and improve the consistency and quality of technical documentationImplement and promote technical writing standards and technical documentation creation processSupport the creation of technical documentation in close collaboration with the engineering team, including datasheets, errata, application notes, hardware and software user manualsReview and rewrite the material to be clear and concise, making sure it can be easily understood by our customersContribute to the development of a user-friendly documentation creation environment including templates and documentation reuseStandardize and manage electrical parameters in a databaseAssist in defining and maintaining the technical documentation guidelinesMeet colleagues from multiple disciplines to discuss technology and authoring requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar roleExpert user of authoring and drawing software (MS Office, Visio, FrameMaker, MadCap Flare)Experience with HTML, XML, Component CMSExperienced in the field of reading and understanding electronic specifications (analog, digital, RF, DSP) and software specificationsA clear and concise writing styleThe ability to absorb information quicklyAn analytical mind and an inquisitive nature — a curiosity about how things workInterviewing skills: able to get all the necessary informationAn eye for detail and a thorough and methodical approachThe ability to deliver to deadlinesA well-organized approach, able to juggle different projects simultaneouslyStrong team-work skillsFluent written and verbal English is essentialFlexible to undertake occasional international travelProven project planning capability including task alignment and milestone recovery
