Job Description A gas turbine company is looking for a Supplier Technical Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining the investment castings team supporting parts for the exterior of gas turbine engines. As a Supplier Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include: 1. Technical Accountability: Oversee purchased parts from initial concept through the product life cycle, ensuring quality management. 2. Supplier Collaboration: Understand and address complex technical issues with suppliers, proposing solutions. 3.Quality Improvement: Collaborate with Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to enhance supplier performance. 4.Process Oversight: Lead PPAP and contribute to design and process FMEA. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience. -Non confirming material evaluation and disposition experience -Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications -General knowledge of PPAP's or FA and MRB process -Casting or gas turbine experience -Experience with internally cooled gas turbine cast airfoil design or manufacturing experience -Mechanical engineering degree -Lean / six sigma black or green belt experiences -Gas turbine casting yield improvement producibility experience -10 years experience in gas turbine cast airfoil design or manufacturing
