Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is seeking a Senior Staff - SLP-A Deputy Chief Engineer in our SDS Division. This leadership role will be located in Roy, Utah or Bellevue, Nebraska.

What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will fill role of the Command and Launch Deputy Chief Engineer supporting the Secondary Launch Platform for the Office of the Chief Engineer in our SDS Division.
Responsibilities include the following:
Provide technical leadership in Design and Development of the Secondary Launch Platform (SLP-A)Focusing horizontally on resolving high-level Systems challengesEnsuring execution of overall technical plan within the Integrated Master ScheduleSupporting strategic SDS Division initiatives on tools, processes, and cross-segment technical reviewsDriving technical rigor into technical interchange meetings with Sentinel partnersUtilizing Model-Based Engineering to deliver a highly sustainable Weapon SystemAdvising program technical leadership on program, schedule, and technical mattersBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with at least 14 years of progressive engineering experience; 12 years with Master’s; 10 years with PhD.Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs12 years of system integration and supplier management experienceExperience in leading a high-paced product development and test/demonstration teamDemonstrated experience in system development, integration, and testStrong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing prioritiesAbility to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgroundsExperience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and SuppliersExperience leading design, production, and integration of complex systemsModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experienceStrong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience and engineering releases utilizing Product Lifecycle Management toolsPrior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnelBe able and willing to travel up to 25% as a part of the roleThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
