What You'll Do:
As a Senior Specialist, Member of Technical Staff , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our optical transport network and circuit emulation technologies. Leveraging your expertise in advanced engineering principles, you will tackle complex business and technical challenges, driving innovation and excellence across multiple domains.
What You'll Bring:
Champion Circuit Emulation and Optical/DWDM Certification:Take the lead in the certification and rollout of cutting-edge circuit emulation and optical/DWDM technologies. Ensure seamless integration and optimal performance by applying deep technical knowledge and rigorous testing standards.Drive Technology Evolution and Migration:
Spearhead the transition between legacy and next-generation hardware and software platforms. Facilitate smooth migrations to new circuit emulation and optical solutions, minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency.Strategic Vendor Collaboration:
Partner closely with industry-leading vendors to define feature requirements, shape technology roadmaps, and guarantee timely delivery of software and hardware releases. Negotiate priorities and champion AT&T’s interests in every engagement.Lead Lab Certification and Testing Activities:
Design and oversee comprehensive lab certification efforts, establishing test scopes, developing robust test cases, and configuring optimal test environments. Manage detailed reporting and ensure resolution of issues, including maintenance requests (MRs).Tier 4 Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide expert-level support for production systems, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues that impact business operations. Serve as a trusted resource for escalated troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
Collaborate with System Engineers, Project Managers, Technology Planners, Operations staff, and other partner organizations. Foster strong working relationships to coordinate seamless deployment and support of new transport technologies.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology enhancement, and knowledge sharing to elevate team performance and drive long-term success.
What You'll Need:
4-year degree in specified STEM areas, e.g., Computer Science.Our Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff, earns between $122,000-$183,000 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
