**Sr Specialist Database Administration - Snowflake**
This position is for Database administration of Snowflake databases and Apache Iceberg for Network service assurance applications.
Major responsibilities include-
**Snowflake Administration:**
+ Database maintenance and optimization
+ Snowflake resource tuning
+ Snowflake custom script development
+ Snowflake optimization
+ Database cost management
+ Database security
+ Cross Snowflake object sharing
+ Application interface support
+ Query tuning
+ User query tuning
+ Developer support
+ Deployment activities
+ User role creation/management (security)
+ Database object deployment
+ Support covers 4 Snowflake subscriptions (2 Prod, 2 Non-Prod), soon to add 2 more subscription with total being 6 accounts
**Apache Iceberg**
+ Operational Maintenance
+ Operational Scripting
+ Operational Monitoring
+ Snowflake integration/support
Required Skills:
+ Strong understanding of SQL and database administration best practices.
+ Strong expertise in the Snowflake platform, including its architecture, features, and best practices for data warehousing.
+ Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, including its internal structure, specifications, and management capabilities.
+ Knowledge of InfluxDB administration is a plus
+ Expertise on resource tuning, cost optimization.
+ Working experience Snowflake custom script development.
+ Knowledge of public cloud and cloud storage solutions (Azure Blob Storage).
+ Proficiency in security and governance best practices for data platforms.
+ Overall Experience: 8+ years in relevant technologies.
+ Co-working with geographically distributed teams. Open to work in overlapping with US work hours.
