Sr Specialist App/Prod Support- Workday developer
**Job Description:** We are looking for a Workday Senior Specialist – Workday Development to help build a world-class HCM automation platform for AT&T. This platform will support critical integrations, workflows, and reporting capabilities across AT&T’s global HR ecosystem. The role focuses on Workday development, integration, and automation using Workday Extend, Orchestrator, and advanced API frameworks. **Key Roles and Responsibilities** + Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations and extensions across multiple HCM modules. + Translate business requirements into techno-functional design specifications and ensure robust, scalable Workday solutions. + Develop complex integrations using Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrator, EIB, RaaS, and Custom Reports. + Build and maintain API-based integrations between Workday and external systems such as Payroll, Recruiting, and Benefits platforms. + Partner with business analysts, module leads, and external vendors to ensure seamless interface connectivity and data synchronization. + Conduct unit, system, and regression testing of integrations and orchestrations before deployment to production. + Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing integrations to improve performance and reliability. + Participate in Workday Release Management – impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption of new features in Extend and Orchestrator. + Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentoring to junior developers or offshore teams. + Collaborate with functional teams to ensure alignment of integration design with business processes across HR, Payroll, and Compensation. **Key Competencies and Skills** + 8–12 years overall with minimum 6 years in Workday HCM Integrations/Development. + Expertise in at least two Workday modules: Payroll (US), Advanced Compensation, Core HR, Recruiting. + Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, RaaS, Workday Web Services, XSLT/xPath, Workday Orchestrator, and Workday Extend. + Experience in developing and supporting API and Web Service-based integrations using REST/SOAP, JSON, and XML. + Good understanding of Workday Security, Business Process Framework (BPF), and Calculated Fields. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to performance tuning and error handling. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to document technical designs clearly. + Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global virtual team environment. + Exposure to Workday Studio Integration Certification preferred (optional but advantageous). **Education & Experience** • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). • Experience Range: 8–12 years total experience with proven Workday integration and automation development expertise. • Supervisory: No direct reports (Individual Contributor). **Preferred Attributes** + Strong understanding of enterprise HCM architecture and cloud integration frameworks. + Experience in Workday Extend application lifecycle and Orchestrator process automation. + Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar platforms. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. **Work Environment** • Flexible hybrid work model with global collaboration. • Expected to work in the 1 PM – 10 PM IST shift to align with U.S. business hours. **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Time Type:** Regular **Location:** IND:AP:Hyderabad / Argus Bldg 4f & 5f, Sattva, Knowledge City- Adm: Argus Building, Sattva, Knowledge City It is the policy of AT&T to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
