KBR is looking for a SME Software Developer who shall apply the principles, theories, and methods of computer science and information technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prioritize and organize software development related tasks for the development teamManage customer relationships to ensure satisfactionConsult with client to develop formal user requirementsWork with team to conceptualize user interface layout and designArchitect, develop, and operate system environments to support data storage, development of new models and tools, and daily CAAG operationsTranslate user requirements from a formal requirements document into an software application and/or database designDevelop, test, implement and maintain complex software applications and/or databasesGuides, develops, and maintains databases, custom software, web applications, and new models/toolsOversee the CAAG’s data infrastructure to include FT networks, systems administration, accreditation, and licensingManage COTS tools deployment and administrationManage and coordinate with NRO TT personnel to ensure the CAAG operates in accordance with NRO FT policies including information assurance and coordinating approvals through the risk management frameworkWork under minimal technical guidanceDraft technical program documentation, such as end-user operational instructionsDevelop and maintain software applications and/or databases, including web applications and user interfaces.Privileged users must possess IA certification in accordance with NRO Directive 50-5 and DoD 8570.01-M.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a polygraphEducation: Master’s Degree with 9-14 years. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree acceptable with 2 additional years of relevant experience.General Software Experience: Software development and testingDatabase Skills: Database development, experience with relational databases and SQLSoftware Skills: Java, Python, Groovy, Grails, JSON, XML, HTML, Web applications developmentIT Experience: Administer and maintain user accounts and Windows-based computers in a cloud environmentSystems security: FT systems administration and accreditation
