Sr Security Manager Job ID 233149 Posted 20-Aug-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Property Management Location(s) Houston - Texas - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Sr. Security Manager, you will oversee the team responsible for the security operations for a large office property. This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets. **What You’ll Do:** + Ensure adherence to guard force and technical security contractual requirements. + Review and thoroughly understand security-related contracts and site security plans. + Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to security contracts. + Support E&PS and GO&S teams in the effective management of security programs. + Manage and maintain security systems—including CCTV, access control, perimeter fencing, gates, and key control—oversee incident investigations, ensure security controls and invoicing are effective, and analyze security budgets. + Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. + Oversee all building operations involving visitor access and activities. + Develop and implement high-level security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. + Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations. + Collaborate with department Sr. managers to determine security needs. + Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents on the property. Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms. + Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner. + Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss. This includes developing and implementing life safety systems, CPR, and first aid training. + Consult with human resources on issues related to security personnel. + Create and approve budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Review security intelligence and quickly implement multifaceted preventative measures. Keep abreast of innovative technologies and advancements in security services. + Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans. + Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. + Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department. + Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. **What You’ll Need:** + Over five years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement roles. + Extensive background in developing and managing physical security measures. + Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. + Demonstrated strong analytical and interpersonal skills. + Experience collaborating with corporate security teams and executive leadership. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Intermediate math skills.
