Sr Quality Engineer

This Hybrid Flex position (3 days a week onsite) can be located at any Medtronic manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China. A Day in the Life + Lead projects to drive reduction of factory escape risks at internal and external factories. + Drive elimination of rework or re-processing steps and improvement of value stream stability. + Define, implement and improve First Time Quality (FTQ) program and governance. + Collaborate on the design of new manufacturing lines or equipment that embeds FTQ at the source. + Implement FTQ for the improvement of non-manufacturing, transactional flows. + Partners with management to lead quality initiatives that develop and maintain a high performing, scalable, and compliant Quality System. + Interprets government regulations, agency guidelines, and internal policies to assure compliance. + Partners with Subject Matter Experts to drive development of clear objectives for education packages that improve competency. + Establishes meaningful metrics. + Consults on development of quality improvements and recommends alternatives. + Program management responsibilities may include planning, resourcing, providing status for, resolving issues, and identifying project risks for multiple work streams. + Ensures results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost. Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume. • Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Nice to Have •    B.S. in engineering or science discipline.  •    3+ years’ experience working in medical device (highly regulated) environment.  •    Demonstrated strong business acumen and planning. •    1+ years’ experience managing projects. •    Demonstrated excellent downward, lateral, and upward communication skills (oral/presentation and written). •    Demonstrated strong interpersonal, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills. •    Demonstrated high degree of initiative and influence management skills. •    Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects to completion.
