Your role at BaxterThis role involves overseeing the end-to-end management of key Transition projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, on time, and on budget. The Sr Project Manager/Transition Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the migration of business functions and roles into Shared Service Centers (GBS). This role ensures seamless transition with minimal disruption to operations, while driving standardization, efficiency, and compliance across processes.
What you'll be doingProject Transition Setup, Planning and Execution: Develop initial project deliverables, including feasibility studies, risk assessments, project initiation reports, staffing outlines, project execution and control procedures.Leadership and Team Support: Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members, facilitating issue resolution and a collaborative environment.Collaborator Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with business customers, offering insights and recommendations for optimizing project-related processes.Building Partnerships: Cultivate strong, positive relationships with stakeholders, promoting effective two-way communication within both local and international contexts.Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, ensuring that deliverables align with quality standards and customer expectations, and make adjustments to resources as necessary.Process Innovation: Design and implement new processes to ensure smooth and effective execution of critical systems.Presentations and Updates: Prepare and deliver clear project updates and presentations, including weekly or bi-weekly reports for team members that provide a transparent view of project status.Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, including resources and CAPEX, to maintain effective allocation and cost control.Transition Handover and Service Introduction: Facilitate the smooth transition of completed projects to Operations, coordinating closely with Business Development and Service Delivery teams.What you'll bringA minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within a global organization.Strong background in Agile and traditional project management methodologies.Experience in Share Service Center transitions.Experienced in business transition, bridging processes and technology to drive efficiency, streamline operations, and enable scalable solutions through strategic project management.Proven experience working in a multicultural and multinational environment, fostering collaborative and cross-regional communication. Managing and collaborating effectively with teams across multiple timezones though digital tools and structured workflows.Demonstrated experience managing projects within JDEdwards and SAP environment, with a strong understanding of ERP projects dynamics.Extensive experience in measuring value realization to ensure projects deliver quantifiable business outcomes.Experience in leading change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions structured framework, partner engagement and clear communication.Project and Portfolio Management (PPM): Knowledge and skills in project and portfolio management practices; PPM certification and Agile (Scrum Master or SAFe)Proficiency in Agile practices with a deep understanding of its principles, enabling flexibility and adaptability in project work.
