The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector, Global Proposal Support team is seeking a Sr Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team and drive the success of our proposal efforts. This position requires a broad understanding of U.S. Government aerospace products/systems and/or missions/operations as well as experience in leading project teams.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in at least one of the following: International Weapons Systems from Hypersonic, Strategic, Tactical Missiles, and Munitions, Propulsions Systems, Integrated Air Missile Defense, Nuclear Command and Control Systems.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector, Global Proposal Support Team.
Sr Principal Proposal Analyst Responsibilities:
This Sr Principal Proposal Analyst position plays a vital role in the development of successful proposals for Sector Priority Wins ($100M and above)The selected candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced across effective team collaboration, communication, leadership, and proposal-based capabilitiesApply proven proposal planning and execution strategies and processes to lead and support teams across the sectorCollaborate with Proposal Coordinators, Proposal Managers and Capture Managers to create and oversee schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal kickoffs, and technical solution sessionsThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing the proposal development process from start to finish, including creating and overseeing schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal kickoffs, and technical solution sessionsThey will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all proposals are completed on time, meet client requirements, and align with strategic objectivesLead and facilitate color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold Reviews)Manage configuration control, compliance management, and publishing activities for all aspects of the proposal documentsAssignments will include, but are not limited to, leading written responses to technical, management, corporate experience, staffing rationale, resumes, and transition sectionsApply communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel to support writing activitiesWrite clear, compliant, compelling, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections; translate complex ideas into easily understandable textDevelop and implement process improvements to help improve proposal qualityPrepare, edit, and arrange completed proposal products for print or electronic publications,Perform visual Quality Assurance (QA) inspection of all proposal deliverablesMust demonstrate a thorough understanding of producing documents intended for both hardcopy and electronic presentation, ensuring adherence to federal and internal compliance standards and guidelines while meeting client and internal deadlinesDevelop and implement process improvements to help improve proposal quality and also leverage the latest tools and resources such as generative AI for Proposal DevelopmentQualifications:
BA + 8 years, or MS + 6yrs in finance, business, engineering, mathematics or another related field withMinimum of 8 years of Aerospace or DOD or Federal Contracting/Proposal experience, with proven track record of supporting large complex bidsStrong writing, proposal design, and desktop publishing layout skills to meet RFP requirementsProficiency with Industry-standard software includes, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Publisher, MS Access), Perfect IT, KOFAX, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and the Adobe Digital Publishing SuiteSharePoint experience maybe required such as deploying, operating, and maintaining services, site setup, permission management, and trouble shooting with enterprise IT teamAble to work overtime and weekends, as required, to meet proposal schedule, expectation is to be onsite during proposal effortsMust be willing to travel including OCONUS (50%)Preferred Qualifications:
APMP Foundation certificationShipley or equivalent Corporate Level Business Development CoursesExperience in Capture or BD, leading or support roleExperience supporting DoD and/or international proposalsExperience with Agile Techniques and toolsDemonstrate skills in critical thinking and writingExisting Secret or higher security clearance; minimum eligibility for such clearance.Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
