Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator – Integration/CDS Engineer to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

**Position Overview:**
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, track battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Responsible for developing, controlling configuration, deploying, and testing the Radiant Mercury Configuration (including Rules), with a primary focus on Common Data Services (CDS) integration
+ Play a key role in ensuring smooth CDS implementation, configuration, and maintenance, and may need to travel to remote locations for CDS installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting according to Program configuration management processes
+ Assist with integrating JEMINI Lab test suites into our development lab
+ Support software development personnel in investigating and resolving issues
+ Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems
+ Create and modify scripts for data analysis of input, internal, and output message data
+ Troubleshoot issues in both test and prototype environments; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents
+ Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, testing, and network documents as needed, representing the Integration team
+ Automate scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts
+ Will be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
+ Will be able to collaborate effectively with a team of highly motivated integration engineers and work independently on large field projects as needed
**Basic Qualifications:**
Please include your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience with a PhD; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
+ Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued **Top Secret** security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be cleared at SCI security clearance
+ Applicants must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at **IAT Level II or higher** (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) wich is required to start
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs is required
+ Network Management and Monitoring Systems experience
+ Understanding of standard DOD security practices, such as **STIG** compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
+ Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ A current and active in-scope DoD-issued **Top Secret** with eligibility to be cleared at **SCI** security clearance
+ Experience with Radiant Mercury is strongly preferred
+ Proven experience with **Ansible** or other automation tools
+ **Script** experience is a plus
+ Candidates experienced in planning and supporting network infrastructure deployment are highly sought after
+ Prior C2BMC network experience is also a plus

Primary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
