**What you'll do**

+ Oversees and contributes to the technical approach of application design
+ Creates required documents to support technical application architecture, vision, strategy, standards, policies, and presentations
+ Collaborates with developers to guide the architecture approach for the Functional and Technical Design; reviews, revises, and approves the content of these design documents
+ Act as a bridge between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders to align AI strategy
+ Implement and integrate AI agents into core enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) to drive automated, API‑centric and event‑based workflow orchestration.
+ Develop and document end-to-end architectures for intelligent, self-directed AI agents capable of planning and taking action, often moving from prototypes to production.
+ Lead the buildout of cutting-edge engineering platforms and solutions that accelerate the modernization of the American Airlines applications. Most importantly you will focus on self-service platform capacities with heavy emphasis on discoverability and automation.
+ Partner with application team technical SMEs and utilize your cloud migration experience to guide the application teams to make the right cloud technology choices
+ Engage with IT and business leaders to address complex design considerations to appropriately manage risk on behalf of the company.
+ Align application solutions with PCI, SOC and cloud security best practices.
+ Working closely with IT security and enterprise architects to define security architecture/policies/guardrails for cloud platforms adopted at AA
+ Applies appropriate technology to reduce costs and/or improve productivity resulting in value to the company
+ Maintains an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating, and scheduling in accordance with stated goals to ensure visibility and predictability
+ Influences and empowers team members for growth and independence
+ Consistently demonstrates a positive, professional, leadership attitude and frame of mind when working with and communicating with others

**Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale technology solutions
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud platforms
+ Hands on experience in AI/ML engineering
**Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 3+ years of technical or team leadership experience
+ Airline industry experience
**Skills, Licenses, and Certifications**
+ Proven ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders
+ Hands-on experience in systems development in a variety of computing architectures and environments; proven experience with conceptual strategy and direction
+ Mastery of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
+ Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
+ Experienced in technology transformations and migration to one or more Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or OCI
+ Strong technical leader able to drive to outcomes and mentor delivery teams
+ Experience of a range services from Azure/AWS Cloud Platform including IaaS, Containers, Storage, Databases (Azure SQL/Oracle/Azure MySQL), Networking (firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS), Access management (Active Directory, Group Policy, Single Sign On) and Security
+ Experienced in the design and delivery of enterprise level Highly Available solutions
+ Experience with securing API's, web app, and API protection.
+ Deep knowledge of Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI).
+ Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms (Azure AI) and build AI landing zones
+ Advanced knowledge of agentic AI and multi‑agent orchestration
+ Experience in FinOps practices for managing agent token usage and API costs.
+ Ability of reusing enterprise landing zones and platform guardrails (AI security, observability, cost controls) and automating integration paths rather than standing up net‑new stacks.
+ Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including micro services and message-driven architectures
+ Proficient in Agile and SDLC methodologies
