Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Systems Engineer IPTL to support our Advanced Weapons team as the Guidance Section IPT Lead for the Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) Production program. This role will be 100% on site at our Northridge, Ca location. Relocation may be available but not guaranteed.
The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering lifecycle of missile / weapon system development program(s) and production experience. They will have technical knowledge in one or more of the subsystems of missile/weapon system, e.g., RF/sensors, guidance, navigation, control, telemetry/communication, and airframe. This candidate will work directly with the program’s Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, supporting the production cadence and projects for the Guidance Section.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer Level (T03):
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of systems engineering or related engineering experience.Experience in production process/environment.Experience systems engineering tools, such as DOORS, CAMEO.Experience in root cause correction action process and execution.Experience in leading a technical team to complete engineering effort(s).Experience in configuration management and product lifecycle management tool(s).Must have proven experience in communicating with peers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashion.Must have demonstrated experience in providing solutions to a variety of technical problems under general supervision.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Systems Engineer Level (T04):
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years; six (6) Years with Masters; of systems engineering or related engineering experience.Experience in production process/environment.Experience systems engineering tools, such as DOORS, CAMEO.Experience in root cause correction action process and execution.Experience in leading a technical team to complete engineering effort(s).Experience in configuration management and product lifecycle management tool(s).Must have proven experience in communicating with peers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashion.Must have demonstrated experience in providing solutions to a variety of technical problems without appreciable direction.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications Sr Principal Systems Engineer Level:
Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.Experience working in the defense industry or weapon systemsExperience in systems requirements development and managementExperience in system verificationPrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
