Job Description
The Sr Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing data compilation, analysis, auditing, and report creation required to execute bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly pay to all US and non-US crew members. Additionally, this role administers the US multi-state travel program as well as the global expatriate payroll, while ensuring compliance with applicable country-specific and US Federal, State, and Local payroll regulations. The specialist acts as a consultant to Total Rewards Teams globally and assists with global payroll implementation, administration, and reporting.
ResponsibilitiesManage and support the compilation of data using Excel spreadsheets, Enterprise Interface Builder tools, Access databases, and Third Party vendor tools.Interpret pay data results for accuracy, troubleshoot, and maintain data to produce accurate pay results, providing recommendations for correction.Administer all base-pay and non-base pay components including sales bonus, partnership, corporate giving campaigns, and corporate recognition while ensuring compliance.Maintain and share comprehensive knowledge of the payroll system, functionality, and calculation regulations.Provide consultative support, guidance, and direction to management and peers.Document procedural deliverables, including process workflows, key controls, execution instructions, timing, and key stakeholders.Research, analyze, and resolve complex payroll and compensation-related issues, inquiries, or discrepancies.Integrate new or existing technologies into workflows, analyze impact, prepare environment for change, and communicate changes.Manage relationships with regional HR teams, finance payroll vendors, funding banks, and tax jurisdiction offices.Provide consultative support to regional processors for handling complex transactions related to payroll and benefits.Perform testing for new requirements or enhancements of payroll systems, ensuring data quality.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsCertified Payroll ProcessorFour+ years of experience processing US and international payroll within an organization with 5,000+ employees.At least one year of experience processing international payroll in Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, Australia, or India.Four+ years of experience with multi-state payroll tax.Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Workday, Ceridian, Paylocity, or similar.Experience creating pivot tables and vlookups within Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsFinancial Services industry experienceExperience with international payroll systemsProficiency in Workday, ADP, and Kronos implementations.Understanding of accrual, ceridian, paychex, year end, HRIS, sick leave, garnishment, and tax processes.Work Environment
This role is part of the Global Payroll team. The facility is state-of-the-art with amenities such as a gym and cafeteria on-site. Holiday pay is provided for six major holidays along with PTO accrual of 16 hours for every 400 hours worked.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $47.00/hr.
