Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and consumer goods industry, is seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Sr Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Packaging Development Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Sr Packaging Engineer
**Location:** Bridgewater, NJ
**Pay Range:$30.00 to** $36.00 on hourly W2
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions across multiple product categories.
+ Evaluate and integrate new packaging technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance product performance, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and suppliers to ensure packaging solutions meet functional, regulatory, and brand requirements.
+ Conduct feasibility studies, pilot trials, and validation testing for new packaging systems.
+ Provide technical expertise in rigid plastic development, including material selection, molding processes, and performance optimization.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
+ Minimum 3+ years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the food, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
+ Proven experience with rigid plastic packaging technologies and processes.
+ Strong understanding of packaging equipment, filling technologies, and automation systems.
+ Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
