Sr Mgr-Bus Sys Analysis-Tech
Effectively lead a business systems analysis team that consistently and accurately executes on project deliverables. Be a vocal and active champion of the business analysis practice. May function in a business systems analysis role on large and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
Major areas of accountability:People Leadership ~ Relationship Management ~ Technology Delivery ~ Leverage Technology ~ Technology Assessment ~ Technology SupportEffectively lead a team of Business Systems Analysts (employee, contract employee or vendor resources) in a manner that ensures timely execution of project deliverables (through performance management, coaching and skill development, etc.).  Provide governance oversight to ensure project adherence to analysis strategy, standards, policies, tools and procedures.  Guide Business Analysts to consistently apply appropriate analysis principles and standards during project analysis, design and delivery.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners at all levels across the organization and across IT.  Influence resource planning and assignment (based upon BSA skill and experience and project scope and complexity) through the project management team. Influence and prepare estimates of BSA work efforts and time on assigned projects.Facilitate the gathering, analysis, documentation and management of business and user requirements (both functional and non-functional) to effectively recommend technology solutions that best address the requirements. Identify potential solutions for the business and provide input to issues or risks.  Provide guidance or intervene on complex or contentious project situations.Facilitate the translation of business and user requirements in to detailed system requirements for the IT organization and ensure that all changes are reflected in the source documents.  Complete project work objects & deliverables using Ameriprise Quality Measurement Systems (AQMS) standards & a deliverables-based approach.  Facilitate walk-through of project deliverables.  Assist in developing the testing strategy-plan thorough requirement testing (positive and negative), and validate for expected results.Working with the BSA teams, ensure that appropriate analysis techniques are selected for each project.  Actively champion and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis best practices, using innovative ideas to increase effectiveness of the overall BSA practice.  Coach and mentor the business analysis team on the effective use of business assessment and technical modeling tools and techniques (including direct reports and general BSA community) (e.g. use cases, processes).Provide leadership to the production check-out process by reviewing reports, data files, Online screens compared to the requirements documentation.  Ensure BSA teams are following all defined standards and procedures, including the archival of all project documentation.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years) in Computer Science or related field.7-10 years of relevent work experience required.5+ years of demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements documentation and includes people leadership experience.Strong analytic skills including ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into functional and test requirements.Solid understanding of business functional areas and business management issues as well as the IT organizations systems and capabilities.Knowledge of and ability to effectively use the appropriate modeling methodologies and tool-sets, requirements management methodologies and tool-sets, requirements visualization methods and tool-sets, and artifact versioning tools.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Advisor Acquisitions.Working knowledge of Experienced advisor recruiting tools and technology.Brokerage Product knowledge, Understanding of brokerage servicing Experience working within a defined development life cycle methodology (e.g. CMMI, Ameriprise Quality Management System (AQMS)) environment.Experience working in Agile tools including Jira.Experience working with the following tools: MS Office, Clarity, MS Visio, and HP Quality Center.Experience with writing use cases and test cases.Experience with business process modeling.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $115,000 - $155,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
