Key Responsibilities

Lead large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects from concept through execution.

Align project objectives with organizational strategy and business value.

Build and manage project teams (without direct reports), fostering collaboration and accountability.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and communicate status to senior leadership.

Champion change management and adoption of new processes or technology.

Mentor and support junior project managers and colleagues across teams.



Required Qualifications

7+ years of project management experience in a complex, matrixed organization, preferably in the Health Insurance industry.

3+ years of experience in facilitating AI solutions

Experience leading cross-functional teams (without direct reports) in large, matrixed organizations

Track record of delivering complex projects with measurable business impact

Member journey mapping experience

Proven success leading cross-functional teams (without direct reports) and delivering high-impact results.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with project management tools and data-driven decision-making



Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to foster team engagement, psychological safety, and collaboration

Advanced skills in project management, process improvement, change management, or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive clarity in fast-changing environment.

Creative problem-solver who enjoys reimagining processes and inspiring innovation

Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills

PMP, PgMP, or Agile certification (preferred, not required)

We support a hybrid work environment. If selected and you live near a suitable work location, you may be expected to comply with the hybrid work policy. Under the policy, all hires for in-scope populations should be placed into a hybrid or office-based location, working onsite three days a week.

Aetna Service Operations office/hub locations will be discussed with the selected candidate.

Education


• Certification in Project Management (such as PMP) and Process

Improvement (such as Lean or Six Sigma) preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $149,328.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
