Job Summary:
Join our HR team as a Senior Manager, HR Process Excellence & PMO, where you’ll provide strategic leadership in driving continuous improvement, governance, project visibility, and innovation across HR operations. This senior manager role oversees a team focused on process optimization, automation/AI opportunity identification, change advisory support, and maturing the HR PMO function—ensuring alignment with organizational goals while fostering a culture of efficiency and excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Oversight:
Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the HR Process Excellence and PMO team, guiding process assessments, improvement initiatives, and project governance to enhance HR service delivery and operational efficiencyLead the maturation and operation of the HR PMO, including centralized project visibility, tracking timelines/deliverables/metrics, applying standards/tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana), and supporting consistent reporting—without direct responsibility for Workday configuration or business process change decisionsProcess Improvement & Innovation:
Drive continuous improvement by leading the team in documenting HR processes (including comprehensive process maps and SOPs), identifying gaps, optimization opportunities, and automation/AI opportunities, developing business cases and recommendations for functional and HRIS leadership approval and implementationPromote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and leverage automation/AI to support HR transformation and efficiencyGovernance & Compliance:
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including change advisory processes, risk assessment standards, and operational governance models, ensuring alignment with HRIS data governance and compliance standardsOversee team efforts in process documentation, analysis, and recommendation development; facilitate change advisory reviews; and ensure seamless coordination of project portfoliosCollaboration & Team Development:Collaborate with HR leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, IT, and business partners to align priorities, facilitate communication, support change management/adoption efforts, and contribute to data-driven insights for initiative planningFoster a high-performance team environment through mentorship, professional development, resource allocation, and performance managementMonitor key metrics, report on progress/impact to senior leadership, and drive ongoing enhancements to PMO, governance, and process excellence practicesExperience
7+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, process improvement, project management, PMO support, or governance roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership/management capacity overseeing teams or multiple functionsProven expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma), process mapping/documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and project management toolsStrong background in driving process optimization, governance, and development of automation/AI business cases in an HR or shared services environmentExperience maturing PMO functions, establishing governance/change advisory processes, and partnering on automation/AI enablement initiatives highly desiredFamiliarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and compliance requirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Project Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
