The Role: We seek a dynamic Business Development executive to lead a team to drive growth and innovation within our enterprise pharma team. This role focuses on expanding relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers to identify and build new patient services, improving medication access and affordability. You'll lead a team of seasoned business development professionals who must provide high-quality client support (e.g., reporting and data analytics, periodic business review meetings), address client needs, and think creatively with those clients to grow customer adoption. You will also bring the voice of the customer – our strategic accounts and clients – in working with technical product and development teams to influence, prioritize, and build products and services that inspire innovation. You will be adept at building relationships and have a successful record of innovation and growth, and also at building relationships with peer stakeholder groups internally to launch new large-scale programs successfully. You are a people manager with demonstrated skill in developing talent and implementing systems that scale the work of your team. You enjoy working closely with customer teams to develop strategies that highlight industry-leading successes across various forums and events. You’ll leverage creativity to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to foster alignment and eliminate obstacles. The right candidate for this role will have 10+ years of Enterprise Pharma experience. Key job responsibilities - Deepen C-suite relationships within existing strategic accounts to uncover growth opportunities - Develop and execute account-specific growth strategies that align with Amazon Pharmacy’s and the client's business objectives - Lead RFP responses for expanded business opportunities and contract re-negotiations - Partner with product and technical teams to ensure our roadmap addresses strategic client needs - Build and mentor a high-performing team of BD and account management professionals - Create scalable processes and frameworks to support account growth and team efficiency - Serve as the voice of our key clients within Amazon Pharmacy, advocating for their needs and translating them into actionable insights Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent - Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
