Sr Manager Strategic Value & Access

The Sr Manager, Strategic Value & Access, is accountable for leading and executing the market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy across the product lifecycle, with a strong focus on national access, payer value demonstration, and long-term reimbursement sustainability.

The role leads and develops a junior team dedicated to Value demonstration and Pricing, ensuring high-quality analytical outputs, methodological rigor, and payer‑relevant evidence to support access decisions.
This position ensures that company products achieve and maintain optimal access through robust value propositions, national submissions, and strategic engagement with payers and health authorities, aligning local execution with Global and Regional Market Access strategies.

The role plays a key leadership function in defending and expanding access for both in‑line products and pipeline assets, while building sustainable Pricing and Value  capabilities within the affiliate.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Access Leadership

Define and lead national and sub‑national market access strategies across public and private sectors.Adapt Global Market Access, Pricing, and Payer Value strategies to the local healthcare and regulatory environment.Anticipate access, pricing, and reimbursement risks, developing mitigation scenarios and strategic responses.National Submissions & Value StrategyOversee the development of national reimbursement submissions (PBS)  and strategic value narratives.Ensure consistent integration of HEOR evidence, epidemiology, clinical data, and budget impact analyses into payer‑facing materials.Act as final strategic reviewer of PRA deliverables to ensure quality, coherence, and payer relevance.

Leadership of Pricing & HEOR Team

Lead, coach, and develop a junior Value and PRA team, ensuring clear priorities, role clarity, and performance standards.Provide strategic direction and governance for:Pricing analyses and price corridor assessmentsBudget Impact Models and value frameworksLocal adaptation of global HEOR toolsEnsure compliance with global standards while enabling fit‑for‑purpose local execution.Foster capability building through coaching, feedback, and cross‑functional exposure.Cross‑Functional & Brand Team LeadershipAct as a senior PRA representative within cross‑functional Brand Teams, embedding payer and access perspectives into:Brand strategyLaunch readinessCustomer planningPartner closely with Medical, Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, and Government Affairs teams to ensure aligned execution.Provide PRA input into forecasting, lifecycle management, and New Product Planning.

Stakeholder Engagement & Access Negotiations

Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, insurers, and external experts.Lead or support strategic access and reimbursement discussions, in partnership with Commercial and Corporate Affairs, as appropriate.Position the company as a credible, value‑driven partner within the healthcare system.Private Payers & Innovative Access SolutionsOversee and guide private payer submissions, including the strategic use of Alternative Pricing Solutions (APS).Ensure access and pricing decisions balance short‑term access objectives with long‑term portfolio sustainability.

Requirements:

Professional degree.Specialization or MBA (Health Economics, Data Analytics, Epidemiology).5-7 years of experience in the access field within the pharmaceutical industry.Ability to synthesize knowledge and experience for cross-functional project management.Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business, clinical data, and regulatory environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Work experience in a commercial environment.Experience as leadership of cross-functional team, including pricing, Heor, and access teamsAdvanced English proficiency Required.
