Purpose:

Senior FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for private placement insurance product offerings and tax advantaged fund product platform. This role will have primary ownership of complex financial models used to support management decision-making for the product line. The Senior FP&A Analyst is expected to work independently, exercise sound judgement around assumptions, and proactively identify risk and opportunities. The role is highly technical, with a strong emphasis on financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.


Accountabilities:

Create and maintain financial models

Develop models to facilitate forecasting performance on new product initiatives, sales plans, and various strategic opportunities

Maintain and regularly update models with current assumptions, scenario changes and actual results

Partner with business development and leaders to assist translating business plans and initiatives into financial assumptions and forecasts

Challenge assumptions and highlight financial implications of decisions

Analyze profitability measures by product, channel, and markets

Ensure models are technically sound, well-structured and documented

Produce regular performance analysis of actual results vs. forecast across new business measures, portfolio performance, revenues and expenses 

Prepare clear commentary for the business line financial results with actionable insights and key drivers on variances

Support and collaborate with corporate finance and fund controller teams

Support and collaborate with corporate FP&A teams on expense budgeting and management

Work with functional leaders in developing annual expense budgets to support business development

Perform actual vs. budget expense analysis and provide clear commentary on variances

Act as liaison with procurement and accounts payable for processing disbursements and expense coding.

Develop pricing models for new products and initiatives

Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and standardize processing utilizing best practices and tools including artificial intelligence


Qualifications and Experience:

5-7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance or accounting

Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline

Working knowledge of investment and/or life insurance products

Advanced Excel skills and data modeling; working knowledge data analysis tools involving complex data models and financial modeling best practices

Demonstrated experience in owning and maintaining complex financial models

High attention to detail with strong analytical skills and judgement

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


$147,001.60 - $220,502.40 USD Annual


Annual Salary for this role is market competitive.  Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.  Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
