Sr Manager, Data, Analytics, & Buying Tech, F2 Subsidiary Tech
Description We are seeking a strategic thought leader to lead our Data, Analytics, and Buying Tools organization supporting Zappos and Shopbop (F2 Subsidiaries). Reporting to Zappos & Shopbop’s CTO, this role will help transform how we leverage data, science, and engineering to accelerate innovation and drive strategic decision-making to solve challenges unique to our premium fashion and footwear businesses. They will embrace and advocate for new ways of operating both within their team and to influence across all of F2 Subs Tech. This leader will develop a team that combines science expertise with engineering excellence to deliver impactful solutions, with particular focus on demand prediction, inventory optimization, and buying tools that enable profitable growth. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how Zappos & Shopbop accelerate results for Amazon. You will partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where science can drive outsized impact, like improving our ability to predict demand for new fashion items with no sales history, optimizing inventory placement across our specialized fulfillment & returns network, and leveraging generative AI to increase our inspirational content capabilities. Your team will leverage emerging tools enabled through partnership with Amazon teams, fine-tuning or creating novel applications. This is a broad role with scope covering science, analytics, and engineering – with significant opportunities for team building, organizational influence, and collaboration with senior business leaders. You will be part of a leadership team that's passionate about building best-in-class shopping experiences. Your work will directly impact how we curate selection, inspire customers through personalized experiences, and deliver delightful shopping journeys across our platforms. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with strategic thinking to: • Deliver measurable business impact in areas like Data Warehouse Analytics, Inventory planning, and automation • Build and mentor high-performing science & engineering teams across multiple locations • Partner effectively with business stakeholders including Buying, Marketing, Creative, and Operations teams • Shape the future of how we leverage data across our premium retail businesses • Drive experimentation and innovation that can scale beyond our subsidiaries to benefit broader Amazon About the team F2 Subsidiary Tech supports both Zappos and Shopbop, Amazon Fashion subsidiary businesses with teams in Madison, WI, New York, NY, and Las Vegas, NV. F2 Subsidiary Tech teams supports the full breadth of the Zappos/Shopbop businesses, using both Amazon and bespoke systems to deliver innovative solutions that maximize our teams capabilities and Amazon advantage. Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of engineering experience - 5+ years of engineering team management experience - 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment - Bachelor's degree - Sound business judgment Preferred Qualifications - Experience partnering with product and program management teams - Background in retail/fashion e-commerce - Experience with demand forecasting or inventory optimization Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
