Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software development concepts and 5+ years applied experiencehands-on end-to-end experience delivering complex solutions at scale, testing and operational stabilityExperience in Mainframe programming languages/components Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, IMS, CICS.  In addition, experience in one or more general purpose programming is also expected – AWS Cloud, Core Java, Spring frameworks, REST API, Micro services, and other web technologies etcExperience with the following development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow, JMeter//Blazemeter, Spring Boot Experience in Unix Shell Scripts, API Gateways, Apache Kafka, NoSQLExperience in all aspects of the software development process including, requirements, designing, coding, unit testing, quality assurance, and deploymentExperience with the agile software development methodologies such as SCRUM, for quick turnaround timeExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
