Senior Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC Associate
Position Summary
JLL is seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC Associate - to join our facilities management team. This role is responsible for performing complex maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems and related building mechanical equipment to ensure optimal facility operations and occupant comfort.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
HVAC Systems Maintenance
Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, split systems, and associated controlsConduct preventive maintenance programs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards to maximize equipment efficiency and lifespanDiagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and implement effective solutions to minimize downtimeMonitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to optimize energy efficiency and maintain proper environmental conditions throughout assigned facilitiesRespond promptly to emergency service calls and occupant comfort complaints, providing professional service that exceeds client expectationsMaintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Collaborate with staff and external contractors on major repairs and system upgradesEnsure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and JLL quality standardsProvide guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance staffQualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of formal HVAC training program or apprenticeship requiredAssociate degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering technology, or related field preferredCertifications/Licenses
Universal EPA 608 Certification requiredValid driver's license with clean driving record requiredAdditional certifications in specific equipment brands (York, etc.) preferredExperience
Minimum 5-7 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience with demonstrated expertise in large-scale building systems requiredExperience with computerized maintenance management systems and building automation platforms preferredRequired Skills
Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electronic control systems, variable frequency drives, and building automation systemsProficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manualsBasic electrical knowledge and ability to perform minor electrical repairs safelyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency in plumbing, pump operations, backflow prevention, and carpentry work preferredPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in various environmental conditions including confined spaces, heights, and extreme temperaturesAbility to stand, walk, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periodsWorking Conditions
Full-time positionMay be required to respond to emergency service calls outside normal business hoursWork performed in various indoor and outdoor environmentsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Estimated compensation for this position:
71,900.00 – 88,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
