Day (United States of America)Job Summary:\rThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing management with the financial data, information, and analysis necessary to make their operational, investment, and tactical decisions. This analysis is both routine and ad hoc,. It involves interaction with employees at all organizational levels and across multiple disciplines. Routine responsibilities include month-end and year-end closing, journal entry preparation, monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis, consolidation, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in accordance with Wellstar Health System's policies and procedures.\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rFinancial Analysis, Reconciliation and Reporting\rResearch, review and perform account analysis of assigned accounts to ensure accuracy of balances and monthly activity\rFollow up on account discrepancies and resolve in accordance with GAAP\rReconcile assigned Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts to source documents.\rPrepare reconciliation journal entries as needed\rResearch accounting issues as necessary and report to management\rInteract and consult with departments to ensure that all entries are recorded and complete\rCompile and review financial reports and presentations as relevant\rParticipate in the validation of new and existing reports\rMonth-end and Year-end General Ledger Close Duties\rCompile and prepare month end journal entries for assigned areas to record activity, month end and year end reports and variance analysis\rPerform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, research, accrual calculations and other related accounting documents/schedules.\rPrepare reporting packages for assigned functional areas\rPrepare consolidation and elimination entries\rCommunicate with leadership related to financial close, issues and deliverables in a timely manner\rOther Duties as Assigned\rPrepare interim and year-end audit schedules\rPrepare/assist with interim reporting\rPrepare and update process documentation on a routine basis\rCross-train with team members within department\rResponsible for performing special projects as assigned by management\rOther ad hoc reporting and duties, as assigned.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:Bachelors Accounting or Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Bachelors Finance\r\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rMinimum 5 years treasury, finance, accounting, preferably in healthcare.\rRequired\rRequired Minimum Skills:\rDetail oriented with above average analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, technical and computer skills.\rMust be able to communicate well with employees at all levels and across multiple disciplines.\rMust be able to manage multiple responsibilities/duties.\rAbove average excel skillsJoin us and discover the support to do more meaningful workâand enjoy a more rewarding life.
