Sr Finance Manager, Digital and Emerging Market Payment Finance

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to play a key role on the International Emerging Store Payment (IESP) Finance team, primarily supporting Amazon's Mexico payment business including Co-branded Credit Card or Debit Card, Installments, Shop with Points, Instant Payments, Cash Payment Products, Cost of Payment, and other local payment products. The person will be part of a team responsible for long and short term financial planning, controllership of monthly financial reporting, developing and reporting on weekly/monthly financial and operational performance metrics, and providing analytical support for Senior Business Management. This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the payments business and requires a candidate with strong communication and leadership skills. A portion of the time will be spent on ad hoc analysis to support the growing business needs. The finance team works closely with the business teams, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams. Candidates must have superior attention to detail, project and team management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical skills are required. Key job responsibilities Successful candidates will have the following strengths: Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions. Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads. An understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth. Solid business judgment and controllership focus. Strong PC modeling skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field - 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 6+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - English proficiency: Advanced (written and spoken) - Excel proficiency: Advanced Preferred Qualifications - 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 8+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CFA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - Knowledge of SQL/ETL Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
