The Commercial Controls Operations lead provides support for both the Commercial Software and NTI Controls Hardware teams. As such, this role is a critical integration role between the two organizations, as well as providing operational connectivity to Legacy Hardware and GIEQ Controls organizations
In this role, you will also function as the Flight Deck Leader for the section identifying areas for improvement/efficiency, lead teams in executing process initiatives, guide horizontal discipline collaboration, and additional activities focused on improving overall effectiveness of the Commercial Controls organization.
Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other groups to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, transactional processes, and cross-discipline initiative coordination. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.
The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide support, council and recommendations to section managementImplement plans with functional leads to respond to issues/problems and define corrective actionsEstablish and maintain operational connectivity to partner organization; guide section leadership on identified issues and corrective approachConduct QMI/KPI/metrics reviews for section programsGuide vision and development for team capability in Flight Deck fundamentals, such as daily management visualizationsContribute to ATO department operations collaborationsGuide cross functional teams in executing Flight Deck principles to support assigned projectsChampion a culture of continuous improvement and focused Problem SolvingExpand section awareness of lean principles and tools applicable to engineeringDefine and deploy relevant training curriculum to expand lean mindsetDevelop a strategic approach for effectively implementing transactional lean in engineeringQualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeAt least 5 additional years of experience in an engineering positionDesired Characteristics:
