The Senior Consultant will manage complex projects and/or produce sophisticated deliverables; they hire, train and supervise staff; work independently with minimal supervision; play a key role in proposals and sales presentations and present at conferences. The Senior Consultant will take a client-centric view and apply a consultative approach to understanding and solving complex problems faced by state and local education agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of state and local strategies that expand PCG’s impact and business across our MTSS offerings. The Senior Consultant will provide product leadership, partnership, and expertise in supporting our clients and partners through their efforts related to MTSS program development, MTSS software implementation, MTSS professional development, MTSS data management and reporting, and ultimately improving school/student outcomes. While a remote role, it is expected that the successful candidate be able to travel to client locations as needed to meet with and support clients, as well as travel for internal purposes. The ideal candidate is a senior level individual who has experience in the education industry (ideally related to MTSS) with responsibilities that include business development and team leadership in: MTSS program evaluation, MTSS education software, MTSS strategic planning, networking and relationship building. They bring a strong track record of leading large initiatives, navigating interagency collaboration, and driving systemic improvements in education with a strategic mindset and collaborative approach. **Key Responsibilities:** + Develops and executes growth strategies, identifying and following up on new sales opportunities. + Leads proposal writing teams and prepares written reports and materials for clients. + Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with senior education leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges and priorities. + Supports development of features and functionality of PCG’s MTSS technology offering: EDPlan MTSS. + Deep understanding of PCG’s EDPlan MTSS technology solution and lead clients during sales demos and strategic implementations of the technology. + Provides and/or leverages MTSS subject matter expertise to advise clients on best practices, state/federal regulations, analyzing and interpreting federal and state laws, and reviewing business operations for service and efficiency improvements. + Develops communication plans, elicits requirements from key stakeholders, and facilitates client discussions. + Identifies gaps and shortcomings and determines necessary workarounds. + Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks using Asana. + Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members. + Assesses best practices and provides technical assistance to clients. + Serves as project manager, independently managing complex projects, staff, and tasks while maintaining client interaction. + Collaborates effectively with senior managers on cross-functional initiatives to advance PCG’s broader education practice goals **Skills and Competencies:** + Ability to develop and implement business growth strategies, identify and close new business opportunities, and up-sell to existing customers. + Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations. + Understanding of federal and state funding streams and how to maximize financial resources + Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset. + Able to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results. + Outstanding oral and written presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship building, and ability to interact with various levels of management and clients. + Ability to lead and assist in the direction of the sales process of PCG’s MTSS products and services. + Project management skills, proven ability to take initiative, and ability to move projects forward within specific timeline and budget. + Commitment to exceptional client service, dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges, and ability to critically evaluate and improve upon current processes. + Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity. + Enthusiasm for life-long learning and staying well-informed about current business issues. + Ability to operate in both a team situation and autonomously with minimal supervision. + Strong skills in the areas of interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation, analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multi-tasking. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred. + 5-10 years’ work experience with MTSS Policy, MTSS Information Systems, and or MTSS Technology + Experience in the areas of information technology, finance/business operations, k-12 education, and special education is highly desirable Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in education, business/public administration, or related field strongly preferred. + Willingness and ability to travel across the U.S. to engage with clients and represent PCG at key events. + Experience in consulting, business development, or client relationship management highly preferred. **Supervisory Responsibility:** + Yes, supervision of small team + Consultants This position is remote with travel/onsite requirements.
