**J** **Job Title** **Project Manager – IDBS E-Workbook / Inventory System Migration (On-Prem) – Life Sciences** **Location** + **U.S. – Multi-site (primary sites: Lenexa, KS and Whitesboro, NY)** + Additional stakeholder site involved (3 total sites) + Hybrid/remote dependent on site expectations; some on-site presence may be required for key workshops and cutovers **Engagement Type / Duration** + **Contract** : 6–12 months (client preference may support **12-month** term) + Strong likelihood of **extensions** tied to adjacent initiatives (e.g., additional software upgrades, potential **Windows 11** update workstream, related system/process updates) **Project Overview** Our client has an active program to **transition from a legacy IDBS E-Workbook/Inventory environment** (associated with a prior/legacy organization) to a **standardized enterprise IDBS environment** . Both environments are currently **hosted on the same on-prem infrastructure** , but are configured and used differently across multiple sites. The effort has been underway but has slowed due to limited bandwidth—project leadership currently sits with a business resource wearing multiple hats. The client is seeking a dedicated **Project Manager** who can re-establish momentum, align stakeholders, and **drive the migration to completion** while ensuring process/workflow alignment across sites. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Leadership & Delivery** + Take ownership of an in-flight program and **re-baseline scope, schedule, risks, and dependencies** . + Drive project execution to complete the **migration/transition** between IDBS environments. + Establish and manage **project governance** (cadence, steering updates, RAID, action tracking). **Cross-Site Stakeholder Alignment** + Coordinate across **three sites** to align: + Business processes + Workflow design and usage patterns + Change impacts and adoption needs + Facilitate workshops and working sessions to drive decisions and standardization. **Planning, Reporting & Control** + Develop and maintain the integrated project plan (milestones, cutover approach, readiness criteria). + Provide clear, consistent **status reporting** to IT leadership and business owners. + Identify roadblocks early and proactively escalate with recommendations. **Vendor / Platform Coordination (IDBS)** + Coordinate activities involving IDBS platform capabilities, configuration considerations, and environment readiness. + Partner with internal IT teams supporting the on-prem infrastructure and application operations. **Quality / Validation Coordination (Life Sciences)** + Work closely with QA/Validation resources to ensure the project adheres to required quality practices. + Support documentation planning and readiness activities typical of regulated environments (as applicable). **Change Management & Transition Support** + Partner with business owners to ensure **training, communications, and knowledge transfer** are executed. + Support transition to steady-state operations post-migration. **Required Qualifications** + **5–10+ years** of Project Management experience delivering **enterprise application** initiatives. + Demonstrated success managing **multi-site, cross-functional stakeholders** with competing priorities. + Experience leading **system migration / consolidation / platform transition** projects. + Strong ability to “step into” an in-flight project, establish structure, and accelerate delivery. + Comfort working with on-prem environments and infrastructure teams (even if not hands-on technical). + Excellent communication skills—able to engage business and IT leaders, drive decisions, and maintain accountability. **Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Desired)** + Experience supporting **Life Sciences** , regulated environments, or quality-driven organizations. + Familiarity with **IDBS** products (E-Workbook / Inventory / similar ELN/LIMS ecosystem) is a major plus. + Experience coordinating **CSV/Validation** (computer system validation) activities or partnering with QA validation teams. + Exposure to software upgrade programs (e.g., **OS upgrades like Windows 11** , application modernization, platform standardization). **Key Competencies** + Stakeholder management and consensus building + Scope control and decision facilitation + Risk management and dependency tracking + Organized, proactive, and execution-focused + Comfortable with ambiguity; brings structure and clarity + Strong follow-through and ability to drive to closure **Deliverables / Success Measures** + Re-established project cadence and governance within first 2–3 weeks + Confirmed end-to-end project plan with agreed milestones + Aligned workflows/processes across sites + Successful migration/transition to the target IDBS environment + Clear readiness criteria met (including validation/quality documentation, as applicable) + Smooth cutover and handoff to operations with adoption support ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
