Sr Business Analyst

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Business Analyst on the Risk Intelligence and Reporting (RIR) team, you’ll have a meaningful impact on how Citizens manages risk across the organization. You will work directly with Independent Risk Management (2LOD) partners and play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing RIR solutions that support more effective risk monitoring, oversight and insight capabilities.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Turn Business Needs into Actionable Solutions

Translate business needs into clear analytical requirements and insight‑driven specifications for the RIR technology team to deliverdevelop production-ready solutions.

Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, data definitions, and process flows in partnership with stakeholders.

Improve Processes & Drive Operational Excellence

Assess existing workflows to identify efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements.Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that align with strategic risk management goals.

Support High‑Visibility Risk Reporting

Prepare and deliver monthly Risk Intelligence metrics and supporting documentation for key stakeholders.Ensure all outputs reflect high standards of accuracy, clarity, and usefulness.Maintain JIRA updates in alignment with internal operating procedures.

Collaborate & Lead Across Teams

Partner with business units, risk teams, and technology groups to drive deliverables and maintain open, effective communication.Support project teams through solution design, QA testing, and end‑to‑end implementation.

What You Bring

Required Experience & Skills

7+ years of experience in Operational Risk/Control, First Line Risk/Control, Compliance, or related roles in financial services.Strong understanding of operational and compliance risk management principles.Excellent communication skills and experience producing clear, polished materials for leadership.Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships, and facilitate discussions across diverse teams.Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Strong analytical mindset with a creative approach to problem‑solving.Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate with urgency, and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Project management experience; PMP certification a plus.Familiarity with GRC tools.

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: M-F
