This role demands a strong technical background, particularly in HVAC systems, and a proactive approach to building management. **What You’ll Do:** • Serve as the lead Building Engineer, overseeing the operational integrity and maintenance of the facility, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems (approx. 75% of focus). • Assign work orders and estimate time and materials needed for repairs. Maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools. • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs across mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems. • Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and rooftop units. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components to maintain optimal climate control and energy efficiency. • Respond promptly to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure) and customer concerns. • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety directives. • Develop and implement an energy management program to optimize system efficiency. • Lead preventive maintenance efforts to extend equipment life and minimize downtime. • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of work performed. • Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams. • Perform general repairs including lighting (switches, ballasts, plugs), furniture adjustments, lock/door hardware, and basic plumbing tasks (clogs, leaks, fixture replacements). • Review and sign off on inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operational standards are met. • Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and achieve departmental goals. • Coach team members to build expertise across technical disciplines. • Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values. Influence stakeholders across teams and levels. • Contribute to new processes, standards, and operational plans that support functional goals. • Communicate complex ideas effectively and persuasively. **What You’ll Need:** • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of relevant experience. Prior supervisory or shift manager experience preferred. Universal CFC certification required. • Additional certifications in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration systems, process controls, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or engine repair. • Ability to meet physical demands including stooping, climbing, standing, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Advanced organizational skills and a proactive, inquisitive mindset. • Strong math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial figures. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future. The minimum salary for the position is or $34.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $44.23 per hour.
