Job Description

We’re looking for a driven Applications Engineer to lead complex mixed-signal IC evaluations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support customers through design-in and ramp phases. Perform physical silicon device evaluation at chip and board level and document errata to support necessary device modifications.Take on product lead role. This includes planning evaluation, supporting collateral development, reporting to management and customers, and reviewing evaluation documents.Support the development of software for automated measurements.Independently develop ideas to improve the silicon evaluation flow.Interface directly with customers during their design-in and ramp phases to resolve application and device-related issues.Drive interactions with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Engineering and Quality Engineering to resolve product issues.Mentor Junior Applications Engineers and assist with the hiring and interview process.Qualifications
Typically 5 – 8 years experienceAbility to work with minimal instruction – either independently or collaborativelyAble to confidently share own expertise and work to othersAble to make significant contribution to projects, programs and business initiatives with creativity and ingenuityAbility to support and mentor junior team membersCross cultural awareness and sensitivityResults-oriented and able to deliver on-time under a tight scheduleFlexible to undertake occasional international travel at short noticeExcellent command of verbal and written English
Essential Technical skills
Experience in python for use in test scripts Ability to produce evaluation plans for complex mixed signal ICsFamiliar working with test equipment; scopes, source meters, function generators, network analysers etc.PCB schematic generation and understand good layout practisesDesirable Technical skills
Knowledge of switcher topologiesKnowledge of battery management systems, such as fuel gauge and chargerAdditional Information
