Title: Senior API Java Developer

Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite- 5 days a week)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior API Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation. This role involves close collaboration with DevOps, architecture, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade API solutions.

Key Responsibilities:Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.Build and manage microservices architecture.Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness.Ensure API security using OAuth2, JWT, and other best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and integration strategies.Monitor and optimize API performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in Java backend/API development.Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and RESTful API design.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or OpenShift).Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development.Preferred Skills:Experience with WSO2 API Manager or other API gateways.Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with DevSecOps tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx).Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.Experience in financial or compliance-related applications is a bonus.

The base salary range for this position is $ 92,250 - $ 144,964, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
